Egypt’s handball team wins over Norway at Paris Olympics

The Egyptian handball team won 26-25 over its Norwegian counterpart in the fourth round of Group Two of the Olympic Games “Paris 2024” in their match on Friday.

The Egyptian team is in the difficult second group alongside Denmark, France, Norway, Hungary and Argentina.

The first half ended in favor of the Egyptian team with a score of 14-13.

But things took a turn in the second half after the Norwegian team succeeded up until the Pharaohs successfully advanced in the last minutes and finished the match in their favor with a score of 26-25.

The Egyptian team can officially guarantee their qualification for the next round by defeating Argentina in the last round of the group stage, as it will raise its score to five points taking fourth place in the group standings at least.

Egypt can also qualify if it draws with Argentina, provided that Argentina loses one of the matches against Denmark and France, and that the match between France and Hungary does not end in a draw.
