The Petroleum Products Pricing Committee, which is responsible for monitoring fuel prices in Egypt and linking them to global markets, is scheduled to convene in the coming days to determine whether to keep or adjust gasoline prices, according to its regular meeting schedule.
Hamdy Abdel Aziz, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, previously stated that the pricing committee’s meeting would take place in early July 2024.
Last Increase in Gasoline and Diesel Prices
In its last meeting on March 22, 2024, the Petroleum Products Pricing Committee decided to raise the prices of both gasoline and diesel.
According to the committee’s decision at the time, gasoline prices were increased by LE 1 per liter, bringing the price of a liter of 80-octane gasoline to LE 11, 92-octane gasoline to LE 12.50, and 95-octane gasoline to LE 13.50.
