Egypt’s Cabinet held its first meeting on Wednesday in the new government headquarters at New Alamein city to discuss several political, economic and social projects and demands, said the state-owned Middle East News Agency (MENA).
Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said that New Alamein has become sustainable year round and is not merely a seasonal resort.
He pointed out that New Alamein accommodates 3 million people and contains commercial, tourist, and industrial areas in addition to universities and service buildings established by 100,000 engineers and workers.
The governmental headquarters building consists of a ground floor, four upper floors, a meeting room, ministerial suites and a media centre.
