Egypt’s Minister of Aviation Younes al-Masry held a meeting on Sunday with Ambassador of Georgia to Egypt Alexander Nalbandov, in the Civil Aviation Ministry headquarters in Cairo.
Their meeting discussed cooperation in the fields of air transport, operation of direct flights between Tbilisi and Cairo from the New Administrative Capital Airport and Sphinx Airport for Tourism, travel services and businessmen in Giza, alongside promoting tourist traffic from Georgia to the Egyptian tourist cities.
Masry praised joint coordination between the two countries in air transport and asserted that the increasing volume of investments and commerce would enhance economic development in Egypt and Georgia.
The Charter Company Air Cairo regularly runs weekly flights between Hurghada, Sharm el-Sheikh and Tbilisi.
On his end, Nalbandov praised the vision and strategy of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and its companies to develop the air transport system in Egypt.
