Egypt has intensified preventive measures in preparation for Eid al-Fitr by sterilizing mosques and all yards attached to them, following up the availability of medicines and blood bags and raising the efficiency of parks and gardens.
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Acting Minister of Health and Population, Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar, confirmed raising the degree of preparedness in all hospitals across the country, during the Eid holiday, raising the degree of preparedness in emergency departments, increasing the number of doctors on duty in reception, emergency and critical departments.
Abdul-Ghaffar confirmed the availability of medicines, medical supplies and equipment, and the necessary quantities of blood bags and its derivatives in all hospitals.
Reserve teams from various medical specialties were prepared in addition to basic teams during Eid.
The level of maximum preparedness was raised in the directorates of services and facilities by local authorities to ensure the readiness of parks and gardens to receive citizens during their Eid vacation.
Ongoing preparations included launching campaigns in all sectors to confront violations, raising the efficiency of park systems, and properly preparing beaches to receive vacationers.
Coordination was made with the Ministry of Religious Endowments and security to prepare the major mosques for the Eid prayers, while taking all necessary measures to maintain the roads leading to them.
