A Saudi court on Monday sentenced four Egyptians to 70 lashes each and three years in prison, and three others to 50 lashes each and one year in prison.
The first four were convicted of beating security officers and holding them in their house, while the other three were convicted of being accomplices for not informing the police.
Their Saudi lawyer was given 30 days to challenge the sentence.
