Egyptian writer wins King Juan Carlos Award

Egyptian writer Soad Suleiman won the 2015 King Juan Carlos International Award sponsored by the "Word Museum" in the category of short story that does not exceed 100 words.
 
It was Suleiman's first time to participate in the international competition, which accepts literary works written in Spanish, Arabic, English, French and Hebrew.
 
Suleiman will receive the award from the King of Spain during a special celebration.
 
One hundred and nineteen countries take part in the competition annually.
 
Suleiman has written many novels and short story collections, including "Keda bi Basata" (Thus Simply), and the three novels "al-Mobah" (The Permissible), "al-Raqes" (The Dancer), and "Shahwet al-Malayka" (The Angels' Desire).
