Egyptian women’s epee team withdraws from Paris Olympics after coming in last

The Egyptian women’s epee team on Tuesday ended their participation in the Paris Olympics, after coming in eighth and last place.

The women’s team lost their first match to Italy with a score of 39-26 in the quarter-finals. In the second match, the team lost to Ukraine with a score of 45-31.

The third ranking match saw Egypt lose to the US with a score of 44-30 to end the competition in eighth place.

This marked the women team’s first participation in the epee competitions

The Egyptian women’s team consists of four players: Lulua Soliman, Sherobit Jaber, Aya Hussein, and Nardine Ehab.

Only three players play in each match.
