Egyptian ground and naval troops as well as special forces arrived Monday in Jordan to take part in a joint training called ‘Aqaba 2016’.
This year, the training takes place at the common training area south of the kingdom and will end on November 25.
It will comprise lectures on how to improve the skills needed to work as a united force against the challenges currently facing the region. The training will also cover traditional and non-traditional military theories and tactics. Expertise will be exchanged with Jordan’s armed forces.
Several senior armed forces personnel from Jordan received the Egyptian troops at Aqaba seaport. Both Egyptian and Jordanian flags were raised.
Patriotic songs were played to show the strong ties between the two countries.
