Egyptian PM: It is high time to build the country, not to stage for strikes or sit-ins

Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab on Sunday called on all categories of the Egyptian society to work hard because it is high time to build the country away from staging strikes and sit-ins.
 
Interviewed by "Hona Al Asema" TV program Saturday night, Mahlab said the new civil service law will be applied on all except some jobs which are not categorized as 'governmental jobs'.
 
As regards any upcoming ministerial reshuffle, Mahlab said assessment of the ministers' performance is being carried out daily and his tours with the government officials aimed at checking on the targets that the government is seeking to achieve.
 
He also asserted that the government would never cover up any corruption and if the judiciary proved the involvement of any government official, he would certainly presented to justice.
 
Concerning a report on the exception of students who are sons of judges, police and army officers from the rules of transfer among Egyptian universities, Mahlab said he sent a letter to the Higher University Council to explain its position regarding the decision.
