Egyptian Meteorological Authority reports further drop in temperatures across the nation

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) expects hot weather during the day in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, northern Upper Egypt, and South Sinai, with slightly hot weather on the northern coast and very hot weather in southern Upper Egypt.

The weather at night will be moderate across most parts of the country, with temperatures dropping across all governorates.

Due to the drop in temperatures, the EMA recommended against using fans and air conditioners while sleeping, and instead keeping windows open.

There will be chances of light rain falling intermittently in parts of the northwestern coast – winds will be active intermittently in parts of Greater Cairo.

The Mediterranean Sea will be moderate to rough, with waves ranging from 1.5 to 2.5 meters high and northwestern to northeastern surface winds.

The Red Sea will be moderate, with waves ranging from 1.5 to 2 meters high and northwesterly surface winds.

The Gulf of Suez will be moderate to rough, with waves ranging from 1.5 to 2.5 meters high, and northwesterly surface winds.

  • Matrouh: 28C
  • Alexandria: 29C
  • Hurghada: 34C
  • Sharm El-Sheikh: 35C
