An Egyptian medical convoy arrived in Malabo Sunday, Egyptian Ambassador to Equatorial Guinea Haddad Abdel Tawab al-Gohary said in a statement.
It was sent by the Egyptian Agency for Partnership for Development of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry in cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Health.
The convoy comprises many Egyptian medical consultants of different specializations and has already started performing surgical operations, the ambassador said.
It provides medical treatment in the fields of general surgery, oncological surgery, orthopaedics, children, obstetrics and gynaecology, anesthesiology, internal medicine, and cardiovascular, he added.
