Egyptian handball team’s near-historic win against France at Paris Olympics snatched away in final seconds

The French handball team snatched a draw in the final seconds of their match against Egypt, who delivered a strong performance in their third group stage match at the Paris Olympics. 

This last second denied Egypt a historic victory over France.

The first half ended in favor of the French with a score of 15-11. The Egyptian team turned the tables in the second half, leading 11-15.

However, the match ended in a draw with a score of 26-26.

With this result, the Egyptian team earned three points and currently sits in third place, while France secured one point and is in fifth place in Group B.

Previously, the Egyptian handball team lost to Denmark with a score of 30-27 in their second group stage match.

And before that, Egypt’s team achieved a thrilling victory over Hungary in their opening match of the Paris Olympics last Saturday, winning 35-32.
