Egyptian Group for Media signs protocols to develop Egyptian television

 

Head of the National Media Authority (NMA) Hussein Zein and head of the Egyptian Group for Media (EGM) Tamer Morsi signed on Sunday several protocols seeking to provide the best content developed on Egyptian television over the coming five years, the duration of the signed protocols.

Under these protocols, NMA and EGM have agreed to establish a new satellite channel addressed for the Arab family and whose content is primarily targets the Arab region.

The channel will be the first of a series of satellite channels broadcast through Nilesat to cover the Arab world with a variety of media services across various areas of interest to the region.

The two parties also agreed that the EGM, in partnership with the NMA, will work on developing the media content of the Egyptian satellite channel and the Egyptian TV Channels 1 and 2.

Under the terms of the partnership agreement on advertising rights on the channels that will be developed in order to maximize the financial returns of those channels, whether existing or new channels.
