Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and his Greek counterpart Nikos Dendias have warned of the gravity of the current situation in Sudan.
This came in a phone call they held on Tuesday where they discussed the latest developments in Sudan and some bilateral cooperation files, according to Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid.
The two top diplomats said that the conflict in Sudan is an internal affair, and cautioned of any foreign interference that could obstruct efforts to contain the crisis.
They underlined the need for continuing political consultations over regional files of mutual concern and maintaining coordination to further cement bilateral relations and build on the results of the visit which Shoukry paid to Athens earlier this month.
