Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met with his counterparts from Syria, Norway, Portugal, and Malta in New York, on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meetings, to discuss ways to end the crisis in Syria.
Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Miqdad and Shoukry discussed the ongoing crisis in Syria, as well as Egyptian-Syrian relations and regional issues.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway, Ine Marie Eriksen Søreide, exchanged ideas on bilateral cooperation, as well as latest developments in regional and international issues.
Shoukry met his Portuguese counterpart, Augusto Santos Silva, to enhance cooperation between Egypt and Portugal, within the framework of the distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries.
He and Maltese Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Evarist Bartolo, to discuss bilateral relations between Egypt and Malta, and to address issues of common concern in the Mediterranean region.
