Egyptian expats pay LE250 mn to reserve lands of housing project: minister

Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Minister Moustafa Madbouli has announced that Egyptian expatriates have sent approximately LE250 million to Egypt in advance payments to reserve 250 plots of land as part of the ministry's Beit al-Watan (The Homeland House) project.
 
The ministry had previously announced on its official website that 4,789 plots of land dedicated to the third phase of the Beit al-Watan project were up for sale. The tracts of land are located in New Cairo, 6 October City, New Damietta City, Sheikh Zayed City, Badr City, New Assiut City, New Qena City and New Aswan City. 
 
About 3,000 Egyptian expatriates registered for the land on the website, said Assistant Housing Minister Khaled Abbas.
