CAIRO, June 21 (MENA) – Egypt’s Consul General to Hong Kong Baher Sheweikhi and Ho Iat-seng, chief executive of China’s Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR), located south of Guangdong Province, probed Wednesday ways to bolster joint cooperation in the trade, investment, and tourism sectors.
During a meeting with the Chinese official, Sheweikhi discussed opportunities of facilitating access of Egypt’s vegetables and fruit exporters to Macao markets, an attractive hotspot for a large number of tourists in Asia, the Egyptian foreign ministry said on its official Facebook page on Wednesday.
The two sides also exchanged views on how to promote cultural cooperation through artistic events the region will host, with a view to bringing closer the peoples of the two countries.
Meanwhile, the Chinese official urged Egyptian companies to participate in the annual expos Macao hosts, especially the International Tourism and Travel Show and Macao International Trade and Investment Fair, to get acquainted with the nature of Macao markets. (MENA)
