Minister of Defense and Military Production General Abdel Meguid Sakr met, on Sunday 21/7/2024, with troops from the Northern Military Zone and the Navy within a series of field visits he is holding along with Chief of Staff Lieutenant-General Ahmed Khalifa.
Commander of the Northern Military Zone Major-General Hisham Hosny delivered a speech asserting the troops’ eagerness for constantly developing their skills and physical fitness through training and keeping spirits high.
General Sakr delivered the greetings of President Abdel Fatah El-Sisi stressing the necessity that all members of the Egyptian Armed Forces have awareness of all what is happening on the scene, and readiness to fend off the borders on all directions.
The defense minister noted that the Armed Forces is “the Egyptian people’s sword and shield against whoever thinks about undermining the homeland’s sanctity or security.”
Sakr, who is also the general commander of the Egyptian Armed Forces, inspected Navy troops and listened to an overview – delivered by Commander of the Naval Force Major-General Ashraf Atwa – on the vessels that have recently joined the fleet and others that are being locally manufactured.
