The body of an unknown Egyptian man was found in a hotel room in Kuwait Tuesday.
Signs of a physical beating could be seen on different parts of his body, especially his face, according to a Kuwaiti security source.
The Kuwaiti interior ministry had received a report that two Egyptian nationals were staying in a hotel room.Their names were not given. One body was discovered by room service.
A Kuwaiti security source said the security chief of Kuwait’s capital, Kuwait City, and his assistant went to the scene upon being informed of the incident.
The hotel workers said in investigations that an Egyptian had booked the room on 17 April. He informed the receptionists that his friend was sleeping there. After a while, one of the workers opened the room and found the dead body.
The source said there was evidence that foul play was involved and that drug paraphernalia was found on the scene. The dead man’s friend who booked the hotel room will be brought in for questioning by Kuwaiti authorities.
