Spokesman for the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports, Mohamed el-Shazly, said on Sunday, that the administrative judiciary has issued a ruling to dismiss Mortada Mansour.
This means to exclude him from chairing the board of directors of Zamalek Sporting Club.
During a phone-in with TV host Amr Adib, presenter of “al-Hekaya” (the story) show, on MBC Masr channel, Shazly added that once the ministry receives the court ruling, implementation will take place and Mansour will be removed.
He pointed out that the Ministry of Youth and Sports will receive the ruling from the Administrative Court of the State Council on Tuesday at the latest.
Shazly continued, “The general assembly of Zamalek Sporting Club will be informed of the decision and Mansour will be removed. ”
He pointed out that the board of directors is the body that will appoint a temporary club president when the time comes.
Shazly noted that Mansour can appeal against the ruling that revoked his membership and removed him from his position as president of the club.
During a phone-in with “Sada el-Balad” satellite channel, he said that Mansour has the right to appeal before the High Administrative Court.
However, this will not stop going ahead with the first ruling.
