The blaze broke out Saturday and again on Tuesday and Sunday.
Suez Governor Mohamed Abdel Moneim Hashem and Security Director Adel Refaat said on Tuesday afternoon that the fire was completely put out, and that the site is now being cooled.
Company CEO Hani Dahi ruled out the possibility of arson, but told Sada al-Balad News that he is awaiting the result of the prosecution’s investigation.
The Nasr Petroleum Company’s president, Kamal Safaan, told Middle East News Agency earlier Tuesday that total losses to the company’s four tanks exceeded LE5 million.
