Egypt’s military ranked 18th among world forces and the first among Arab forces, according to a ranking made by Global Firepower, an independent website focused on comparison of military powers around the world.
According to the ranking, the US Army tops the chart, followed by Russian, Chinese, Indian and British forces.
Israel came 11th, while Iran came 25th, according to the website which noted it does not consider nuclear armament among the range of conventional warfare factors relied on in measuring the military’s strength.
It points that some statistics are independently estimated when official data is unavailable.
On the Arab level, Egypt, which comes first, is followed by Algeria, Saudi Arabia and Syria.
