EgyptAir announced operating direct flights between Cairo and the city of Kharga in the New Valley Governorate, to activate air and tourism movement between the different governorates of Egypt.
This in turn would contribute to enhancing investment opportunities and achieving sustainable development in accordance with Egypt’s Vision 2030.
Based on the role played by EgyptAir as a national company, the company will operate direct flights between Cairo Airport and Kharga Airport in the New Valley, starting from January 16, at a rate of one flight per week on Sunday with the Airbus A220-300, Amr Aboul Enein, head of EgyptAir Holding, said.
The step will to serve the people of the New Valley Governorate, activate tourism flow, and support the investment climate in the governorate, he said.
The number of weekly flights are scheduled to increase to the Kharga city with the increasing demand for travel to the New Valley, he added.
