EgyptAir has created a website for the families of those killed in flight MS804, which crashed into the Mediterranean Sea on May 19.
The website www.flight804.com is part of a package of efforts aimed at easing communication and keeping families informed regarding developments.
Each family has been provided with a personal account, with a username and password given to family representatives. The system aims to allow families to make enquires and gain responses in privacy.
Meanwhile, all new information made available by the airline or the crash investigation committee is published on the website, allowing families and others to follow events.
EgyptAir earlier allocated two 24-hour mobile phone numbers (01200008289 and 01208222275) to receive inquiries about the incident. The lines operate an answer-machine service.
There is also the option of communicating with the Family Assistance Center by email at this address: [email protected].
In addition to keeping families up to date, the airline has sought to arrange all compensation matters by dealing with insurance companies on their behalf. Enquiries regarding insurance are to be sent to: [email protected]
There has been coordination with all authorities in question to expedite issuance of death certificates for the victims.
