EgyptAir has announced it is lifting the ban on laptops and other electronic devices onboard EgyptAir flights to London from Cairo Airport as of Friday, EgyptAir said on Friday.
EgyptAir said in the statement that the decision from the British authorities came after they had ensured the security procedures of EgyptAir’s flights complied with the requirements of the British Department for Transport.
The statement added that the United States and Britain had banned, in March, electronic devices aboard planes coming from six Arab countries including Egypt. Any electronic devices were transported inside baggage in the interior of the plane as a security precaution.
The American authorities lifted the ban imposed on electronic devices for EgyptAir flights headed to New York in July.
