EgyptAir domestic tickets increase by 15-30%

An EgyptAir source said the prices of tickets for domestic flights increased between 15 to 30 percent after the flotation of the Egyptian pound in November, Al-Borsa News reported.

The increase ratio depends on the timing of the flight and the timing of booking tickets and varies from one destination to another, the source added.

Fuel, maintenance costs and fees of landing and taking off are all paid in US dollars, the source pointed out.

Chairman of EgyptAir, Safwat Mesallam, had hinted earlier, to the possibility of increasing domestic airline tickets.
