EgyptAir claims rival carriers are poaching its crews

EgyptAir Holding Company President Hussein Masood said at a press conference on Tuesday that certain Gulf airlines were “poaching” the company’s pilots and engineers by offering them better salaries.

“Four of our engineers have already resigned in the past few days to work for rival airlines,” he said.

Massoud urged the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority to sign an agreement with its Arab counterparts prohibiting what he described as “staff theft.”

“Our pilots and engineers receive benefits they won’t find elsewhere,” he said.
