Chairman of Egypt Air Holding Company Ahmed Adel announced on Wednesday that his company is set to cooperate with global think tank Bureau Veritas to manufacture plastic products and offer them to local and global markets, according to the Arabic Ahram website.
Chairman of the EgyptAir Supplementary Industries Adel Mansour said that the company signed an agreement with Bureau Veritas to implement a strategy to produce non-structural parts of aircraft cabins.
Mansour added that the agreement would allow the company to obtain the accreditation of the European Aviation Safety Agency, achieve high profits and increase competition in the global aviation market.
EgyptAir Holding Company also signed a contract with Bain & Co, an American company that specializes in the development and restructuring of companies and economic entities, to provide consulting, technical and administrative solutions to EgyptAir.
An official source at EgyptAir told al-Mal news website that the restructuring strategy will be implemented in two phases.
The first phase will include preparing and studying the restructuring of the holding company and its subsidiaries. This phase is expected to take about 1.5 years to complete. Meanwhile, the second phase will include the implementation of their plan and reaching the desired goal, according to the source.
