Egypt won six medals in the World Weightlifting Championships which ended in Anaheim, California, on Wednesday morning, including four gold medals, one silver medal and one bronze medal. Overall, Egypt ranked fifth in the tournament.
Mohamed Ehab won three gold medals, Sara Samir won one gold medal, and Shaimaa Haridy won one silver medal and one bronze medal.
Three male and two female Egyptian contestants took part in the tournament.
Thailand ranked first, garnering five gold medals, seven silver medals, and three bronze medals. Iran came second with five gold medals, three silver medals and six bronze medals.
Georgia came third with five gold medals, one silver medal and one bronze medal, while Vietnam ranked fourth with four gold medals, two silver medals and one bronze medal.
