Egypt won the 2023 Youth World Weightlifting Championships which was held from 25 March to 1 April in Durrës, Albania.
Amongst them the team collected ten different medals, including four gold medals, four silver medals, and two bronze medals.
Egyptian weightlifter Rahma Ahmed won three medals: a gold medal in the clean category, a silver medal in the snatch category and a silver medal in the total snatch category, while Habiba Saad won two silver medals in the snatch category in below 49 kg category.
Weightlifter Renad Mohamed Hassan Maghraby won a bronze medal in the 91k snatch competition, in the 76kg weight category.
Basma Ramadan won the bronze medal in the clean and jerk competitions in the 40 kg category.
Haneen Ahmed ranked fourth in the weight below 59 kg category, in the snatch competition, after lifting 82 kg, and ranked sixth in the 100 kg clean and jerk competitions, and fourth in the total category.
