CAIRO, Oct 27 (MENA) – Egypt has welcomed the ceasefire agreement reached between Thailand and Cambodia on the sidelines of the ASEAN Summit held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The ceasefire deal was brokered by the United States.
In a statement issued Monday by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates, Cairo emphasized the importance of the deal in strengthening regional security, stability and cooperation.
Egypt also commended the sincere efforts of US President Donald Trump to resolve the conflict through peaceful means.
It underscored the necessity of seeking diplomatic solutions and constructive dialogue to resolve disputes, reaffirming its support for all initiatives and efforts aimed at settling conflicts through peaceful means. (MENA)
