Egypt’s meteorologists expect the wave of bad weather across the country since Tuesday to ease on Sunday, with less rainfall and more sunny hours.
Maximum temperatures expected for the following cities are 25C in Alexandria, 26C in Cairo, 29C in Qena and Luxor, and 30C in Aswan.
Meteorologists expect an improvement in the weather, as the rainfall will be limited to the northern parts, and the Sinai Peninsula. Sunny hours will increase for the rest of Egypt.
Moderate weather is expected on northern parts up until northern Upper Egypt, hot weather on southern Upper Egypt during the daytime, and growing colder by night throughout during the night.
Mist will affect visibility in the morning at the country’s northern parts.
Winds will be northwestern and moderate. They will be active on northern Upper Egypt, and the Gulf of Suez, disrupting maritime navigation there.
Waves in the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea will be low to moderate and range between 1.5 to 2 meters, with northwestern surface winds on both seas.
The Egyptian government suspended studies in schools and universities in different governorates due to heavy rains that caused floods in some areas.
