
Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation Rania Al-Mashat discussed prospects for deepening economic and development cooperation with US Ambassador to Egypt Herro Mustafa Garg, focusing on growth, investment and private sector-led development.
The talks, held as part of efforts to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries, covered the future of bilateral economic relations in line with Egypt’s priorities for comprehensive and sustainable development and its national structural reform program aimed at building a more competitive and resilient economy.
Mashat said discussions included expanding cooperation in key sectors such as education and human capital development to better align workforce skills with labor market needs, as well as infrastructure projects to improve service efficiency and support sustainable development. Cooperation on water resource management and integrated water solutions was addressed as well.
The two sides also explored opportunities to boost collaboration in technology, innovation and digital transformation to enhance Egypt’s economic competitiveness and attract foreign investment.
Mashat said Egypt’s long-standing strategic ties with the United States remain a cornerstone for supporting national development efforts, adding that both sides stressed the importance of continued coordination and dialogue to advance shared economic interests and sustainable development goals.
