Egypt, UAE commence ‘Zayed 3’ joint-military drill

The joint Egyptian-Emirati military exercise “Zayed Three” kicked off on Friday in the United Arab Emirates, running for two weeks and featuring the participation of special forces from both countries.

The exercise includes many activities, such as the exchange of training experiences between both sides and training on managing joint combat work between participating elements.

This training drill comes as part of the Egyptian armed forces’ desire to strengthen military cooperation with friendly nations, find the most appropriate solutions against enemy forces, impose emergency drills and further coordination between the Egyptian and Emirati armed forces to meet the challenges facing the region.

The exercise is part of a scheduled military plan to further the combat readiness of UAE and Egyptian forces, which aims to emphasize the strategic relations between the two friendly nations and their shared conviction in addressing challenges facing stability in the Gulf region and Arab world at large.
