Egypt’s football team topped Group A in the 2026 FIFA World Cup African qualifiers on Sunday after a 1-1 draw between Djibouti and Ethiopia.
The al-Abdi Stadium in Morocco hosted the match between Djibouti and Ethiopia in the fourth round of Group A in the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
Gabriel Dadzie scored the goal for Djibouti in the 29th minute, while Minyilu Wondimu Dibaba equalized the score for Ethiopia in the 31st minute of the match.
The Ethiopian national team therefore ranks fifth in the Group A table with three points from four matches, while the Djibouti national team is at the bottom of the first group with a point.
Guinea-Bissau came second with five points from three matches, Burkina Faso third with four points from three matches, and Sierra Leone at fourth place with four points from three matches.
