A member of the Egyptian Meteorological Authority’s media office Manar Ghanem announced Sunday that the country will witness relative improvements in the weather starting from Monday.
Rain will decrease starting from Monday until the middle of the week, she said, and will recede in the northern coasts and the governorates of northern Lower Egypt, with only light to medium rain.
Ghanem noted that the country is still affected by a noticeable drop in temperatures during the daytime and also during the late night and early morning.
Sunday saw rain of varying intensity across most of the northern governorates up to Greater Cairo, she said, adding that the country remains under the influence of cold air masses coming from southern and eastern Europe, passing through the Mediterranean Sea.
Ghanem added that temperatures will continue to drop during the daytime and be severely cold at night until the middle of this week.
“We notice a significant decrease in temperatures, and the weather during the day will be very cold throughout the country,” she said.
