
The Meteorological Authority has revealed the expected weather conditions for Cairo and other governorates, forecasting a drop in temperatures across the country next week.
This marks the beginning of the countdown for the seasonal Indian low-pressure system. Wind activity is expected during the night and early morning, which will help improve the weather conditions noticeably.
Temperatures are expected to reach 34°C in Cairo and drop to 39°C in governorates in southern Upper Egypt.
Friday’s weather phenomena
Weather maps for today show the formation of morning fog in northern parts of the country, including Greater Cairo and northern Upper Egypt. It may be dense at times in areas of the northern coast, the Nile Delta, Canal cities, and central Sinai.
Wind activity is expected in parts of the northwestern coast, the Nile Delta, and Greater Cairo at intermittent periods.
Sea conditions
Mediterranean Sea: Conditions are moderate, with wave heights ranging from 1.5 to 2.25 meters and northwesterly surface winds.
Red Sea: Conditions are light to moderate, with wave heights ranging from 1 to 2 meters and northwesterly surface winds.
