The government plans to provide LE1,000 for each married woman with a maximum of two children, provided that she is 45 years of age.
Amira Tawadros, Director of the Demographic Center at the Ministry of Planning and Director of the National Project for the Development of the Egyptian Family stated.
Tawadros also said, during elephone interview during the “Al-Hayat Al-Youm” program shown on Al-Hayat channel, on Tuesday evening, that the financial incentive program has been well studied.
It is one of the programs of the National Project for the Development of the Egyptian Family, she said, pointing out that the reactions towards the decision were positive.
A unified platform for the Egyptian family is under development.
Its branches will be distributed across various villages of the Egypt, soon, so that women can register with it, she added.
Documents required to receive the financial incentive include the national ID of the husband, the national ID of the wife and children’s’ birth certificates, she said.
On Tuesday, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly attended the signing ceremony of a cooperation protocol between the Ministries of Planning and Economic and Financial Development, on the financial incentives program under the National Project for the Development of the Egyptian Family.
As stipulated in the protocol; The Ministry of Finance creates an account for the National Project for the Development of the Egyptian Family, to be dedicated for the dues of women who are committed to the conditions of the program, provided that the disbursement takes place through the mechanism agreed upon by the two parties.
The treasury will save an amount of LE1,000 annually for each married woman who has a maximum of two children, and the accumulated amount becomes due when she reaches the age of 45, provided that she adheres to all project conditions and periodic follow-up.
The accumulated amount due for each married woman, registered with the program, and with two children only, will be calculated on the basis of her age at the time of participation in the program, according to several parameters.
