The Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled al-Anany said that his ministry is working to support and encourage responsible and sustainable eco-tourism, in line with new global trends of tourism.
The ministry is in the process of launching a mobile application to promote tourism.
Anany held a number of media meetings during his participation in the activities of the World Travel Market 2021 (WTM) in the British capital, London.
He conducted individual media interviews with more than 25 representatives of major newspapers, media outlets and English and international television channels, including National Geographic, Discovery, CNN, Breaking Travel News, Travel Mole, Sky News, Al Arabia and I Newspaper.
Anany said that the ministry is about to launch the mobile application to promote Egyptian tourist hotspot destinations locally and globally which will be a great help to tourists.
The minister said that the Egyptian government will also hold many major celebrations in the various Egyptian governorates during the coming period.
Anany explained that these celebrations will start with the grand celebration that will be held in the Luxor Governorate to promote and highlight its tourism and archaeological components and the efforts made to develop its tourism infrastructure.
He added that his ministry launches promotional campaigns through social media and organizes introductory trips for senior media professionals, journalists and world celebrities, and hosts many bloggers and influencers on social networking sites from different countries of the world.
The ministry also organizes visits for the ambassadors of Arab and foreign countries in Egypt. The sustainable development 2030 program aims to strengthen Egypt’s leadership as a major modern and sustainable tourist destination, which contributes to strengthening the country’s national economy.
With rich and diverse, natural, archaeological resources and components, Egypt is well prepared to receive tourists from various countries of the world.
