The National Council for Persons with Disabilities in Egypt announced the launch of ballots designed in Braille, to provide the opportunity for visually impaired and blind people to participate in the upcoming presidential elections.
This was circulated to all electoral committees and headquarters with the aim of removing all obstacles to the visually impaired in exercising their constitutional rights, General Supervisor of the National Council for Persons with Disabilities, Iman Karim said.
This is not a new experiment as ballots were designed in Braille in previous elections, but to a more limited extent, Karim pointed out.
