Daylight savings time in Egypt officially ends on Thursday, October 26.
According to the law passed by the House of Representatives, daylight saving time is applied on the last Friday of April of each year until the last Thursday of October.
Winter time will begin in Egypt starting Friday, October 27.
The Cabinet announced that reintroducing daylight saving time in 2023 has many benefits, including the rationalization of energy consumption, especially in light of the economic conditions and changes the world is witnessing.
Winter time in Egypt will be applied on October 26, with the clock set back 60 minutes.
The winter timing will continue to be applied in Egypt for six months, ending specifically on April 26, 2024.
