The Egyptian Cabinet has approved a draft presidential decree to allocate several plots of state-owned land in North Sinai Governorate to the General Authority for Land Transport and Dry Ports.
The land will be used to establish logistics hubs,in line with President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi’s directives to make Egypt a global center for trade and logistics.
According to a statement from the Egyptian Cabinet, the allocated land parcels include:
- A plot of 5,998.81 acres in the Rafah area.
- A plot of 5,122.07 acres in the Al-Ouga area.
- A plot of 6,026.28 acres in the Al-Hassana area.
- A plot of 6,000.55 acres in the Bir al-Abd area.
This decision aims to enhance Egypt’s logistics infrastructure and support its position as a regional and international trade hub. The establishment of logistics hubs in North Sinai will facilitate the movement of goods and promote economic development in the region.
