Egypt swears in its new government – here’s what you need to know

The new government of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has now begun taking the constitutional oath in front of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, informed sources told Al-Masry Al-Youm.

Government sources revealed the features of the government’s formation this year, explaining the merging of ministries and the creation of others aiming to develop government policies, and to keep pace with the challenges facing Egypt at the present time.

The sources have revealed the full list of names of the new ministers in the new government of 2024:

  • Mahmoud Tawfik as Minister of Interior.
  • Maya Morsy as Minister of Social Solidarity.
  • Ahmed Kjok as Minister of Finance.
  • Rania al-Mashat as Minister of International Cooperation.
  • Adnan al-Fingiri as Minister of Justice.
  • Hassan Mohamed Hassan al-Khatib as Minister of Investment.
  • Osama al-Azhari as Minister of Awqaf (Religious Endowments).
  • Sherif Farouk as Minister of Supply.
  • Mohamed Abdel Latif as Minister of Education.
  • Karim Bdewi as Minister of Petroleum.
