Meteorologists predict moderately cold weather across Egypt’s north and northern Upper Egypt during the day on Friday, with temperatures expected to grow much colder at night throughout the country.
Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 16C in Alexandria, 17C in Cairo, 19C in Qena, 20C in Luxor and 21C in Aswan.
Meanwhile, rain is predicted along the northern coasts, in Lower Egypt, Cairo and possibly in northern Upper Egypt.
Winds will be northwestern and active in most of the country, disrupting maritime navigation on the Red Sea and the Mediterranean Sea.
Waves in the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea will be moderate to rough, ranging between two and 2.5 meters, and surface winds are expected to be northwestern to southwestern on the Mediterranean Sea and northwestern on the Red Sea.
