Egypt sees hot weather, rough waves for Sunday

Meteorologists expect hot weather in Cairo, Lower Egypt, and northern Upper Egypt, with very hot weather over southern Upper Egypt during the daytime on Sunday.

The weather will be moderate along the northern coasts, and grow milder at night across the country.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 31C in Alexandria, 34C in Cairo, 37C in Hurghada, 41C in Qena, 42C in Luxor, and 43C in Aswan.

Mist will affect visibility in the morning in the northern parts of the country, with low -level clouds anticipated.

Winds will be mostly northwestern and moderate, active on South Sinai, southern Upper Egypt, the northwestern coasts, the Gulf of Suez and the Red Sea, disrupting maritime navigation there.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be moderate to rough and range between two to 2.5 meters in height, while waves in the Red Sea will be rough and range between 2.5 to three meters, with northwestern surface winds on both seas.
