Egypt’s market loses LE40.8 bn in week, EGX30 index falls 8.9%

Egypt's stock market has witnessed heavy loses of LE40.84 billion this week, as all indexes dropped, Egyptian Exchange data showed.

The main EGX30 index, small and mid-cap EGX70 index and the broader EGX100 index fell sharply 8.9 percent, 7.1 percent and 6.4 percent, respectively.

EGX market capital lost LE40.84 billion (US$5.2 billion), to hit LE444.07 billion, compared to LE484.91 billion last week.
