Egypt’s car sales rose 49 percent y-o-y in 2014 to 292,200 cars, according to a report by the Automotive Marketing Information Council (AMIC).
Mustafa Hussein, Chairman of AMIC predicted that car sales will rise by 20 percent during 2015 to 352,000 units compared to sales in 2014.
Passenger car sales rose 55 percent y-o-y in 2014 to 207,000 cars, the data showed.
Bus sales also increased 30 percent y-o-y, and trucks sales rose 41 percent, according to the report.
