Egypt will reopen on Sunday the Rafah border crossing which had been closed during al-Adha vacation, security sources have said.
The sources added that the Rafah border crossing will be opened to individuals and humanitarian assistance.
The crossing will be closed to individuals on Fridays and Saturdays and official vacations, they said.
The source said that the Rafah crossing has been open to Palestinians and to humanitarian aid convoys since June.
Approximately 118,818 Palestinians have traveled via the crossing and 895 tons of medications, equipment and children's milks have entered into Gaza since June, they added.
Egypt had been closing the Rafah border crossing since Hamas seized control of the Gaza Strip in 2007 almost continuously.
The crossing was however reopened in June after Israel attacked a Turkish aid convoy bound for Gaza.
