Former presidential candidate Farid Zahran announced the release of several pre-trial detainees, pending opinion cases.
The total list of those released comprised 32 people, including three female journalists – Anal Ajrama, Safaa al-Korbiji, and Hala Fahm.
The General Coordinator of the National Dialogue Dia Rashwan, said that the “Board of Trustees of the Dialogue ” received with the utmost satisfaction the Public Prosecution’s decision to release the pretrial detainees.
He added that the Board of Trustees, “Appreciates these releases, thanks everyone who made an effort to achieve them, and believe these decisions help provide a more positive atmosphere for the continued success of the national dialogue – to agree on the priorities of national work in the current stage, and gain more common ground between the people of the country to build a promising and better future.”
